Yamaha Motor Corporation, a multi-national manufacturer with a wide range of very diverse products, was stuck in the “spreadsheet age”. With disparate, non-connected product information and widely diverse data governance across business units, a new and unique approach was needed to position the company for success in the fast-changing world of product information – one that provided a complete solution to the consolidation, creation, and dissemination of product information and resulted in a truly centralized Single Source of Truth.
Join David Meeler, Technical Marketing Manager, and Tonya Gooden, Product Information Manager, as they discuss how inriver PIM is being used to creatively drive change by ensuring consistent product information and governance, yet with inherent flexibility at the market level, across multiple product lines and international markets. During this presentation you will learn ways to use inriver PIM to catalyze digital transformation across your organization, deliver a superior customer experience, and help ensure company profitability in markets other than just e-commerce. You’ll also hear ideas on how to structure PIM to capture and present newly-mandatory product information in an increasingly environmentally-conscious world view, where sustainability and data governance play a crucial role.
As a bonus, David and Tonya will also share some lessons learned – ideas that didn’t work or work that, in hindsight, could have been done better in hope of helping others achieve success with PIM more quickly.
